Points
There are a few different ways to earn points on the SGA website, mostly from the games on Level 10.  There are a few other ways and I have most of them listed here. Yeah, I know this page is kinda lame right now... The full versions of the games pages will be up sometime in the future. Address all gripes to direwolfsg3@icqmail.com or send me a comm at Locker #34.

Losing Points: As far as I know the only way to lose points is by changing your assignment after already being assigned or by failing the Intruder Alert.

Daily Login / Day on Active Duty : Once a day you get one point and one day of active duty added to your score when you login to the SGA site.  After earning this once you will have to wait until after midnight to earn it again.

Assignments : The first time you assign yourself to a Section, Division or Team you earn 25 points.  If you change any assignment after you are already assigned you will lose a percentage of your points.

Surveys : The surveys on Level 17, Room 3 will give you one point for each survey you cast a vote in.

25 Stargates Link : On Level 25 you can click the 25 Stargates link once a day for one point.

Random Events : There are little randomly appearing games that will give you a few more points.

Intruder Alert : This pops up at the top of the page then it comes on. You may choose to read the instructions or accept or deny the alert. There will be no points deducted from your points for denying it. If you choose to accept it, you will get five points for one intruder, but if you can't find him/her, you lose five points. If it is the five intruders (Reetou), you will get 25 points for finding them all. If you can't you find all five, you will only lose five points. This is the only game that you can actually lose points from.

Glider Simulation : It is your job to shoot down the death gliders while your team member tries to evade the incoming fire. Your Glider is equipped with long range weaponry, so your weapons are ineffective up close. But your enemies are equipped with short range weaponry so are unable to fire until they are very close, giving you a great advantage.

Training Level : Level 10 of the SGA site is the Training Level and houses the games you can choose to do at any time. The exercises change at midnight each day. You can do the exercises at any time of the day and the turn over will be at midnight of that day in which you can do the games again anytime after that for the next day.

Slide Puzzles : Unscramble the Stargate SG-1 pictures as fast as you can for bonus points. To see if you have already solved a Slide Puzzle at a glance, go to the main page where it displays all the Slide Puzzles for you to choose from. A blue border will show around the image of completed Slide Puzzles. It will also alert you after you click on the Puzzle if you have already solved it within the day.  When you have all the pieces in the correct place the puzzle automatically sends the score for that
puzzle. You can double click on any piece to "jump" the blank piece there. You can do this up to 5 times. If you use it only once or none at all, you will be awarded 2 bonus points more than what the MALP is worth. If you can solve the Slide Puzzle before the Challenge Time, you will earn some extra points. Also, if you can solve it fastest, you get your name posted for all to see and an extra five points. You can still take as long as you want to solve your slide puzzle, but you just won't get those extra points. Another feature is if you put the mouse over a piece, it will show the number of the piece at the bottom left of your screen. The numbers go from left to right on the puzzle. In other words, if the piece is one, it is the first piece at the top left side of the puzzle; if is shows the number two, it is the next one over towards the right of the first one and so on. A good way to check is to put the mouse over the piece before you click start of the puzzle. You can right click anywhere in a slide puzzle in order to change the color of the key piece. There are about 15 or 20 different colors.

See the Slide Puzzle (Images) page for Images of the SIlde Puzzles.

Image Decoders : A different system for unscrambling stargate pictures..  Your objective is to drag the pieces around and solve all the puzzles. You will not get any points for puzzles that say they are "Errored". If you see a puzzle with this status, refresh the page before starting, and it should fix it. Once you complete one puzzle, it will let you know in the window how many points you scored for that puzzle. If you think you will not be able to solve a puzzle the way you have it, close it, leave the image decoder page, return and load up the puzzle again. Simply closing the puzzle and reopening it WILL NOT reset the puzzle. If possible, try connecting pieces that make up an object in the puzzle and move them around as needed.

See the Image Decoders (Images) for images of the Image Decoders.

Knowledge Test : You get 30 seconds to answer 4 questions on the episodes from Stargate SG-1.  Answer each question correctly and you get two points for each.  If you answer all four questions correctly you get an extra two points for a maximum score of 10.  On some browsers, if you are using a wheel mouse, you may need to click in a blank area after selecting your answer to ensure the wheel does not change you answer.

Glyph Lock : The Glyph Lock Game will open up a popup window after you click the link in Room 3. It is set up so that you click on start to get the game going. Glyphs will appear in columns on the far right side of the popup window. The goal is to match the glyphs on right column to the glyphs on the left column. You click the "refresh glyphs" button to change the glyphs on the right hand side. You can click on the little boxes that separate the two glyphs that match, and in doing so you have locked the glyphs in place. You then can refresh the glyphs again by clicking the button. Do this until you have all the glyphs locked or you run out of refresh moves (15 moves in all). You then can either send score which will appear in the place of the "refresh glyph" button or you can choose to replay by clicking the restart bottom and it will start the game over for you. A popup will ask if you are sure you want to send your score and will tell how many points it will be.

Memory : The goal is to match the pictures of the characters from Stargate SG-1. Please wait a moment to let the pictures finish loading. There are two matching pictures of each. You click the start button to get the timer started. If you can solve Memory in 60 second or less you will get 15 points, if you solve it between 60 and 70 seconds you will get 10 points and if you go over 70 seconds you get 5 points. You can either send the score or you can choose to replay by clicking the restart bottom and it will start the game over for you by resetting the timer. You may start the game over at any time during the game or when it is finished.

GDO : It is set up so that you click on start to get the game going. The goal is to match numbers on the top with those on the bottom. To effectively activate your GDO and send the signal, click on the digits in the bottom row when they match those in the top row. Then click on "Send Score" to send the signal

UAV : This game was based on the UAV Sim and basicly is the same game.Your objective is to pilot the UAV to safety in 40 seconds and get hit as few times as possible.
